Hi! Thank you for visiting my website. My name is Ebelien van der Velde. My passion for hydrography started in 1995 when I began my Category A Hydrography studies in Amsterdam, graduating in 1999. Since then, I have spent more than 25 years working in the hydrographic industry, supporting surveyors, data processors, engineers and organizations in making the most of their data, software, and workflows. Throughout my career I have worked on seabed mapping, hydrographic data processing, software implementation, technical support, consultancy, and professional training. One of the achievements I am most proud of is helping organizations work more efficiently while keeping long-term customers satisfied and successful. Building trusted relationships has always been important to me. I particularly enjoyed creating an environment where users felt comfortable asking questions, not only about software, but about survey workflows, best practices, and professional challenges. Those conversations often led to the most valuable learning experiences. The moments that have given me the greatest satisfaction are the training courses where participants leave with new knowledge, practical skills, and renewed confidence. Seeing people grow in their profession is what continues to inspire me. Alongside my technical career, I have also worked as an independent life coach since 2009, supporting people in their personal and professional development. Coaching has strengthened my ability to listen, guide, and help others discover solutions that fit their own situation. These skills naturally complement my work as a trainer and consultant. In 2023, I decided to follow my own path and started my own business as an independent trainer and consultant. Today, I combine my technical expertise with a passion for education, capacity building, and knowledge sharing. I enjoy helping individuals and organizations develop practical skills, improve workflows, and build confidence in hydrographic surveying and marine technology.
