Coaching

The answer lies within the question

Finding your own direction.

Life and careers rarely follow a straight line. Sometimes you know exactly where you want to go, and sometimes you simply know that something needs to change. Coaching is not about someone telling you what to do. It is about creating the space to reflect, explore possibilities, and discover your own answers. As a coach, I will not provide solutions for your life or career. Instead, I will ask questions that help you gain clarity, uncover your strengths, and make decisions that align with your own values and ambitions.

Whether you are considering a career change, looking for more balance, searching for purpose, or simply feeling stuck, coaching can help you move forward with confidence and ownership. After all, your life is your journey, and you are the one holding the compass.

My Journey.

My own coaching journey started long before I became a coach myself. After graduating from the School for Hydrography in Amsterdam in 1999, I followed what seemed to be the logical path: finding a job, building a career, and moving forward without asking too many questions. Like many young professionals, I believed I had everything under control. A few years later, I realized that technical success alone did not answer the bigger questions. I wanted to understand my own values, my motivations, and the contribution I wanted to make to the world. In 2007, I started working with a coach, and it proved to be a life-changing experience. I discovered that the answers I had been searching for had always been within me, I simply needed someone to ask the right questions and help me bring those answers to the surface. I learned that setbacks can become opportunities for growth, that values provide direction, and that letting go of what no longer serves you creates space for new possibilities. Inspired by this experience, I decided to study counselling and coaching myself in 2009. It was one of the greatest investments I have ever made, not only because it enabled me to support others, but also because it gave me tools that I continue to use throughout my own life and career. Today, coaching remains one of the most rewarding parts of my work. There is something truly special about seeing people discover their own strengths, make courageous decisions, and grow into the person they want to become. I believe that every person already carries the answers within; sometimes, all they need is someone to ask the right questions so they can discover those answers for themselves.

Team Coaching.

Strong teams are built on trust, communication, and understanding. Every individual brings different strengths, perspectives, and ways of working. Learning to appreciate those differences is often the key to better collaboration and higher performance. Through interactive coaching sessions and practical exercises, team members learn more about themselves and about each other. The sessions are enjoyable and engaging, but always focused on achieving meaningful results. The goal is to create teams that communicate openly, solve problems together, and become increasingly self-sufficient. When people understand each other better, they work better together.
